Why CPAs Partner With Atlanta Estate Planning

Your clients trust you with their full financial picture. But an outdated will, an unfunded trust, or a beneficiary form that still names an ex-spouse are legal problems, not tax problems. You can spot them. You can't fix them. That's where we come in.

The Gap Your Return Shows You First

Every filing season, you see it before anyone else does. A Form 1041 for an estate that never should have gone through probate. A trust that was set up years ago but never funded, still holding no real assets. A retirement account beneficiary field that says "estate" instead of a person, which forces the account through probate.

You can flag these gaps in a client meeting. You can’t draft the trust language, retitle the accounts, or fix the beneficiary designations that actually close them. That work needs a Georgia estate planning attorney, and without one in the loop, the gap stays open until it becomes a probate case.

What a Referral Partnership Looks Like

Send us a client with an estate planning gap and we take it from there. We reply within 24 hours, review their situation, and quote a flat fee before any work begins. You stay their trusted CPA. We handle the will, trust, and beneficiary work, then send you a short summary of what changed once it’s done.

We don’t give tax advice, and we don’t manage investments. When a client of ours needs a CPA for trust accounting or an estate tax return, we send them your way. No referral fees change hands on either side. Georgia Bar Rule 7.3(c) doesn’t allow it, and this partnership isn’t built on fees.

What Our Clients Say

Frequently Asked Questions

No. We handle estate planning documents only, wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. Tax questions go back to you.

No. Georgia Bar Rule 7.3(c) prohibits attorneys from paying referral fees to non-lawyers. This partnership runs on reciprocal referrals, not fees.

The most common ones are unfunded trusts, retirement accounts with an outdated or missing beneficiary, business owners with no buy-sell agreement, and powers of attorney that name someone who has since died or moved away.

We confirm when your client reaches out to us, and again when their plan is finished. You always know where the referral stands.
