Georgia’s Medicaid look-back period is 60 months for nursing home benefits. A Medicaid Asset Protection Trust has to be irrevocable. It also has to be funded a full five years before your client applies, or it doesn’t protect anything. That timeline pressure is real, and it’s the part most families understand.
